This morning, in Taiz, Resonate! Organized a conference on " Announcing Strategic Development Plans for Al-Qahera and Al-Shamayatayn Districts" was held as part of the "My Contribution is Development" project which implemented by Resonate! in partnership with Youth Without Borders organization in Taiz with the support of the European commission.
The aim of the conference is to review the development plans of the targeted directorates, and the urgent requirements needed by the two directorates, with the aim of improving the livelihood of citizens, upgrading the infrastructure and services, and enhancing the performance of service institutions, in addition to creating a development partnership between the public, private and civil society sectors to mobilize resources and funding opportunities to implement the interventions indicated by the strategic plans, This conference comes within the activities of the second component in "My Development Contribution" project , its aims to enhancing the capacities of local councils in Taiz governorate.
For her part, the project coordinator in Taiz Governorate, Ola Al-Saqqaf, praised the efforts and cooperation of the local authority in Taiz for the success of the conference, which was the most prominent outcome of the plans that were reviewed during the conference.
During the conference, an introductory video about the project was presented, and the strategic plans and reports of the Al-Qahera and Shamayatayn districts were reviewed. After that, discussion was opened for the participants on the topics covered by the conference.
The conference was attended by members of the local council in Al-Qahera and Shamayatayn districts, a group of businessmen, representatives of many international and local organizations and civil society activists, in addition to the presence of various media outlets to cover the event.
